10 Lessons I Learned by Leaving my Career Job
Leaving teaching was not an easy decision, but it was a necessary for my health and well-being. You may remember from my previous posts, that I suffered from stress-related depression and anxiety. I was suffering mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. When you aren’t taking care of yourself, it’s difficult to take care of others. After being away from the field for 1.5 years, I’ve decided that leaving teaching is the best choice for me!
Although I’ve experienced many lessons along my path, the most important lesson I learned is putting my trusting God. It was my faith in God that helped me through this transitional period (and will continue to). If you are in a situation where change needs to happen, take the time to thoroughly think, analyze, and pray. It could be the best time you’ll ever spend on yourself.
