Brome Burgers & Shakes in Dearborn
Brome Burgers & Shakes in Dearborn, MI
With so many new burger places popping up everywhere how do you choose? The best way I’ve found is by word of mouth! If I’m looking for a good burger and I’m not sure where to go, I head to Facebook to ask my friends. One place they may not suggest quite yet is Brome Burgers & Shakes in Dearborn. The reason for that…it’s a fairly new restaurant with unique new concepts!
Brome Burger & Shakes prides itself on carrying healthy food within a healthy environment. They serve never-frozen organic and all-natural premium beef, non-GMO fries, fresh salads, hand-spun shakes, and more. The environment features an airy dining room with sustainable materials, local reclaimed woods, and a living wall of organically grown plants.
The restaurant offers six beef burgers with toppings such as beef bacon, turkey bacon, wild mushrooms, fried egg, braised onions, and various cheeses and fresh greens. Also available are two vegetarian burgers, a cage-free chicken burger, and pub-style fried fish.
During my visit to the restaurant, I chose the Brome Deluxe burger which includes beef bacon, aged white cheddar, red onion, tomato, romaine, and dijonnaise. I had it cooked medium as the restaurant suggests. Burgers at Brome can be cooked medium to well-done. If you like your burger rare, Brome may not be the place for you.
The fries are cut in house from non-GMO Kennebec potatoes. They are fried in sunflower oil then flavored with your choice of seasonings. You can choose Kosher salt & cracked pepper, cajun spiced, garlic & cilantro, or truffle & parmesan. They also offer sweet potato fries, tots, sweet potato puffs, and chili cheese fries or tots. As you can see from the above picture I chose the sweet potato fries and I’m glad I did because they were cut thick, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Did I mention they were delish?!
One of my favorite parts of the meal was the hand-spun shake. There are 7 shakes featured on the menu plus they often offer a limited time flavor. Although they all sounded wonderful, I picked the malted chocolate with whipped cream on top. It was so good that I ordered one to go for my hubby who was at home.
To get the best experience and deal at Brome, order your meal as a combo which includes your choice of burger, fries, and beverage for only $3 more. Of course, don’t forget a shake for dessert. Get one to share, get one to go, just get one!

Malted chocolate shake sounds really good! My Reeses one was really good too 🙂 next time I’d try the Oreo shake, most likely. I didn’t see until later that they had sweet potato fries, and one of the other girls let me try one – they were delish.
I wish I could have made it to this blogger dinner! I’ve been wanting to dine at Brome since it opened. Usually when I’m in Dearborn, I’m busy visiting family and friends. But after reading your and Liz’s posts, I really need to carve out time to eat here. The burgers sound good, but the shakes and fries sound like they’d be absolutely delicious.
The shake was my favorite!!!
It doesn’t look like a burger joint. I love the decorating, and I think I would enjoy the food. I know exactly where that is. Yummy!
This sounds super tasty!!! I will have to remember this next time I head out to the east side!
