bd’s Mongolian Grill No Kid Hungry

In America, 1 in 6 children faces hunger. More than 12 million children in the United States live in homes without adequate food. Although this is an alarming epidemic, there are simple ways to help! Right now, all bd’s Mongolian Grill locations are participating in a No Kid Hungry Dine Out event.

bd’s Mongolian Grill is supporting No Kid Hungry, a hunger relief organization focusing on keeping kids who rely on school meals fed and healthy during the summer months. During this campaign, guests dining at bd’s Mongolian Grill have the opportunity to participate by purchasing $3 pin-up slips. Each guest who donates receives a $5 bonus card for their next visit.

Our Visit

On Sunday, May 19, my husband and I dined at the bd’s location in Canton. At the time of our visit, they had collected 2,500 pin-ups for No Kid Hungry. The manager on duty said their goal at the Canton location is 8,000 by June 9 and he had no doubt they’d get there. He confirmed that this campaign is a nationwide initiative and it was becoming a competition of sorts between bd’s locations. Of course, we joined in on the fun and helped Canton continue their lead by donating our $6 ($3 each) to add to the wall of participants. Which in turn brings us back to this location again in the future to use our two $5 gift cards. It’s a win-win situation for all three parties involved!

While dining to donate, hubby and I enjoyed all that bd’s has to offer. We started with their traditional egg rolls with Asian dipping sauce. Then we created our own stir-fry with fresh meats, veggies, sauces and spices. We topped off our meal with Fried Oreos which are served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and Hershey’s hot fudge – these are a must have in my book!

If you are looking for a way to help hungry children, please consider dining at the bd’s location near you before June 9.

  • What a great idea! Hubs and I usually visit BDs around this time each year for our birthday meals. We’ll be sure to donate to help feed kids 🙂
