What Defines a Woman of Faith?
What Defines a Woman of Faith?
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ” Hebrews 11:1
A woman of faith loves the Lord and it shows in her everyday life. It can be seen in the words she speaks, her daily actions, her attitude, and by the service she renders to His children.
A Woman of Faith Trusts God
She faces adversity with hope because she understands that He is her safety and shelter and that no one can harm her under His protection.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17: 7-8
A Woman of Faith Prays Daily
She keeps in daily contact with God. She prays faithfully for herself and others around her.
“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” 1 Chronicles 16:11
A Woman of Faith Keeps Herself in the Word
She is daily in the word and she sets a good example. She uses the bible as an instruction manual.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
A Woman of Faith Tells Others About Jesus
She is excited about her life with Christ. She shares with others through words and actions.
“Be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” I Peter 3:15
A Woman of Faith is of Service to Others
She serves Him by serving others. She understands that the more she gives herself in service to others, the more she will enjoy a Christian life.
“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.” Mark 8:35

I don’t think I really sat down and thought about what it means to be a women of faith, in it’s most practical sense.
I loved how you outlined the characteristics of a woman of faith backed up with Biblical verses.
I found myself reading over and over your insight that, “A woman of faith loves the Lord and it shows in her everyday life. It can be seen in the words she speaks, her daily actions, her attitude, and by the service she renders to His children.”
