The Container Store of Novi grand opening is this Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5. Shop this weekend and The Container Store will donate 10% of all sales to Forgotten Harvest. Forgotten Harvest is a non-profit organization dedicated to relieving hunger in metro Detroit and preventing nutritious food waste.
The Container Store began in 1978 with one store and today it has 80 stores across the country. The Container Store is the ONLY store dedicated to containers. If you are looking for a container or organizational tool, you WILL find it at The Container Store. The new store in Novi is their first location in Michigan. The store is over 22,000 square-feet and features more than 10,000 multifuctional and innovative products.
As part of the pre-grand opening events, I had the opportunity to tour The Container Store of Novi. When it comes to organization, The Container Store is well organized into areas such as kitchen, closet, bath, office, garage, laundry, and more!
The Container Store has two different custom closest options. They are called TCS Closets and efla closets. Both closet systems can be designed to fit your needs and installed by professionals.
When it comes to colors, The Container Store is sure to have a color to fit your need or mood. As you can see from my photos, the variety of colors caught my eye!
I especially loved this display of bottles in the store window. I’d like one of each color, please.
The Container Store also specializes in gift packaging. They carry gift boxes, bows, gift wrap, totes and sacks, cellophane overlay, gift bags, tissue paper, and so much more!
One of my favorite sections was the pet section, of course. The Container Store didn’t forget our fur babies! Their selection had some really cute containers for keeping fidos bones fresh.

I want so much stuff I don’t know what to buy. I’m going to wait awhile to go shopping due to the crowds. We should plan lunch and shopping one afternoon.

Oh, I wish I weren’t moving! I’ve always wanted to go to one of these. I’m kind of obsessed with organization boxes and things. We’ll be moving to a small apartment in DC in a few months though, so I don’t want to go buy a bunch of stuff I’d have to sell. But look at those fun filing cabinets!

Oh my gosh, I would love this store! Probably a good thing there is not one that I know of near my area. I could see myself getting into some real trouble here.
I am so excited about this store! I did a lot of shopping at the one in Chicago when helping my daughter set up her apartment. With two other young adults moving out soon, it’s great to have a Container Store her in Michigan now!
