Delicious Homemade Apple Crisp
Nothing says “Fall” to me more than a fresh warm homemade apple treat! One of my favorite apple dishes is delicious homemade apple crisp. It’s simple yet scrumptious! The ingredients are common in most households. If you have apples, you should be ready to make apple crisp.
Ingredients:
- 10 cups apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (about 8 medium or 5 large)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Directions:
1 Â Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2 Â Peel, core, and slice apples
3 Â Place the sliced apples in a 9×13 inch pan. Combine the white sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg together, and sprinkle over the apples.
4 Â Mix the oats, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and melted butter together. Sprinkle evenly over the apple mixture.
5 Â Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
6 Â Allow to cool about 15 minutes before enjoying. Matches perfectly with a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan ice cream!
