Noodles & Company Review and Giveaway
If you are a pasta lover, like me, then Noodles & Company is one of those restaurants you must try! Their current menu contains 12 different pasta bowls all which are completely customizable with your choice of protein (chicken, beef, pork, tofu, or shrimp). Each dish is made to order and contains completely fresh ingredients. In fact, you will not find a freezer or microwave at any Noodles & Company location.Â
I recently visited the location in Novi, MI with a couple other blogger friends. During our visit we were able to try 8 of the 12 dishes, including their two new pasta bowls (which happened to be my two favorites). Although I enjoyed every dish I tried, I am going to highlight just a few.
We also sampled 2 of the 3 “shareable” dishes and the Thai Chicken soup (which is also a new menu item). Below are images of the soup and the Korean BBQ Meatballs with Gochujang (go-choo-jang) Sauce, both of which I really enjoyed!
The Thai Chicken Soup is a coconut curry chicken soup with onion, cabbage, red bell pepper, lemongrass, lime galangal, turmeric and shallots. As someone who enjoys Thai Food and spicy foods, this hit the spot!!
The Korean BBQ Meatballs with Gochujang Sauce are flavorful meatballs tossed with a sweet and spicy Korean-style Gochujang (go-choo-jang) barbeque sauce. Again, these were deliciously spicy!
For our main dishes, we sampled their two new pasta bowls – Chicken Adobo and Thai Green Curry with Shrimp, along with six others. As I mentioned above, the two new pasta bowls were my favorite because of the spice and flavor.
The Thai Green Curry with Shrimp Shrimp has a sweet coconut green curry sauce, rice noodles, pineapple, broccoli, red onion, snap peas, lime, black sesame seeds and cilantro. It may sound like an odd combination, but it was so tasty. I especially loved the touch of pineapple and cilantro.
The Pork or Chicken Adobo is served with either grilled chicken or slow-braised pork with cavatappi noodles in a smoky adobo sauce, red onion, mushrooms, olives, sour cream, lime and cilantro. This dish is not for the weak at heart…it is spicy!
The dish pictured above is the Alfredo MontAmore. What I liked most about this dish was the crusted chicken. It had remarkable flavor and a touch of crispiness. This dish contains spaghetti noodles, four-cheese blend alfredo, roasted mushrooms, tomato, spinach and parmesan chicken and it’s topped with MontAmore cheese and cracked pepper.
The last dish I would like to describe to you is the Japanese Pan Noodles. It contains caramelized udon noodles (a unique noodle) in a sweet soy sauce, broccoli, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, Asian sprouts, black sesame seeds and cilantro. We also added Tofu, which I found didn’t have much flavor. As an Asian food lover, this dish was a perfect combination of sweet and savory, topped with cilantro (which I LOVE).
