New Limited Edition Hudsonville Confetti Cake Ice Cream

When it comes to ice cream in Michigan, Hudsonville Creamery is a favorite! Hudsonville Creamery began in 1895 by local farmers who were looking for a better way of selling their dairy products. It was in 1926 that the creamery started producing ice cream. By 1940 six flavors were available – Butter Pecan, Orange Pineapple, Tutti Fruitie, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla. Today, Hudsonville Ice Cream, located in Holland, MI, produces over 50 flavors and is sold across Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.

Hudsonville is a favorite of both my husband and I. In fact, we haven’t tried a flavor we haven’t enjoyed. Our most recent flavor of choice is Hudsonville’s Limited Edition flavor called Confetti Cake. This ice cream, which is expected to be released later this month, is a creamy, cake-flavored ice cream with colorful confetti candy sprinkles.

Hudsonville’s Confetti Cake ice cream is deliciously creamy, yet the flavor isn’t too overpowering. The colorful confetti candy sprinkles add texture and flavor that kids (young and old) will love. Being that it’s Autumn and apples are abundant in Michigan, I decided to pair this ice cream with one of my favorite fall treats, warm apple crisp.

My husband seemed a little hesitant about the two together but he discovered real quick that the pair made a tasty match. In fact, they were so tasty together that both the ice cream and apple crisp were gone in two days.

If you are looking for an ice cream flavor that is sure to enhance most desserts, I think you might find the new Confetti Cake flavor a real hit! Top it with more sprinkles, your favorite topping, or pair it with your favorite holiday pie or cake. With colorful sprinkles and a light creamy cake flavor, it’s sure to make everyone happy!
