Noodles & Company Introduces Zucchini Noodles

In an effort to continue its claim to fresh healthy foods, Noodles & Company now serves zucchini noodles (Zoodles) as an alternative to pasta noodles. For those of us looking for a lighter noodle base or a gluten free, grain free, or low carb diet, Zoodles are sure to satisfy.

Zoodles are spinalized noodles that are made in-house daily from fresh zucchini. They can be substituted for pasta noodles in any of the dishes available at Noodles & Co. Crisp and fresh, Zoodles have 90 percent fewer calories and carbs than a regular portion of elbow noodles, plus they are packed with vitamin C and potassium.

Recently I had the chance to try a few of the dishes at Noodles & Co with zucchini noodles and I was pleasantly pleased with the lower calorie and carb option. The Zoodles paired perfectly with the flavor of the sauces!

One of my favorite dishes is Zucchini Romeso which includes a sweet and tangy roasted red pepper sauce topped with almonds, cream, sundried tomato, garden vegetables and feta.

Another perfect match was the Spicy Korean Beef with Zoodles. This Asian dish has sweet and spicy Korean-style Gochujang sauce, marinated steak, napa and red cabbage, spinach, topped with cucumber, green onions and cilantro. The Asian dishes have always been a favorite of mine at Noodles & Company!

The last dish (pictured above) is Zucchini Thai Green Curry with Shrimp. This dish features a sweet coconut green curry sauce, pineapple, broccoli, red onion, snap peas, lime, black sesame seeds and cilantro. If you aren’t a seafood lover (like me), you can choose your protein of choice. This is true for all Noodles & Company dishes.

For someone like me who has difficulty eating my daily vegetables, Zoodles are a great choice! These dishes provide all the same flavor minus the carbs and calories. For more information or to find a Noodles & Company near you, please visit their website.

  • What a great, healthy alternative! It’s so hard to eat healthy when dining at a ‘fast food’ spot. I love this change!

  • I think the spicy Korean beef would have been my go too. Sadly I have a shell fish allergy that limits me from the good stuff. I had never heard of zucchini noodles till seeing this post! So thanks for sharing def. something for me to checkout.

I hated the zucchini my dad grew in our backyard garden as a kid. Then a few years ago my neighbor brought me over some zucchini bread she’d baked and I loved it. Amazing how you enjoy foods as adults that were hated during childhood. Now eat the stuff all the time! I’m going to have to try this dish out next time we visit Noodles.
