Snow Tubing in Metro Detroit and Beyond

Although we haven’t had much snow this winter, there is still a lot of winter to come! Be prepared for tubing fun by finding a local hill or plan a road trip within Michigan!

Tubing Hills in Metro Detroit

Bower’s School Farm (Bloomfield Hills)

Tubing is very popular at this park in Bloomfield Hills. In fact, reservations are required and can be made online. Open for tubing on Thursday-Saturdays, they even have night tubing with lights and lasers. For more information and an appointment time, visit their website

Hawk Island Park (Lansing)

Located in Lansing, these hills are groomed specifically for snow tubing, and snow isn’t a problem here since it’s made by machines! Riders can speed down one of many 16 ft wide sculpted snow lanes as they drop 50-60 feet over a course of 500-600 feet. Best part – NO CLIMBING – A magic carpet uphill conveyor lift transports riders to the top of the hill.

See the Ingham County Parks website for more information about Hawk Island.

Rolling Hills Park (Ypsilanti)

Rolling Hills Park features a sledding hill, a half mile of cleared walking trail, and three miles of groomed cross-country ski trails. Tubes are available to rent as $3 per hour. See their website for more information.
