Easter Events Southeast Michigan 2021

Easter is just one month away (April 4) and many cities/townships have organized events that are family-friendly and COVID safe. Check out the list below to find an event near you. And of course, be sure to check the websites for any possible changes or cancellations. I will add events as I find them so check back often. 


Auburn Hills

30th Annual Easter Egg Hunt (April 3) 

  • Place: Civic Center Park.
  • Time: 12-2 pm
  • About: Children (1-12 years of age) are invited to walk the trail for Easter treats. Those who wear a homemade bonnet will receive an extra surprise.
  • Cost: $2/child payable at the start of the trail.

Easter Bunny Extravaganza (March 27) 

  • Place: Milford High School Parking Lot
  • Time: 10 am – noon
  • About: Goody bags for the fist 500 kids. Meet the Easter Bunny. For more information, call the Chamber office at 248-685-7129. This event is hosted by Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Lake Orion

Bunny Hop (March 27) 

  • Place: Orion Center, 1335 Joslyn Rd, Lake Orion, MI 48360
  • Time: 9:30 am, 11 am, 12:30 (3 sessions)
  • About: Spring is in the air! Hop on over to the Orion Center for a photo visit with a special bunny, refreshments, craft projects an egg hunt with toys and candy stuffed eggs and a few other surprises. Bring your own basket for filling with candy and prizes. Youth will be broken down by age for equal opportunity hunting for all. Pre-registration required, spaces are limited! Egg hunt will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather. Don’t forget your camera! Walgreens will be on site to capture the moment, optional photo purchase available.
  • Cost: Resident $9, Non-Res $12
Lake Orion

Easter Egg Hunt (April 3)

  • Place: Children’s Park & American Legion Post 233
  • Time: 11 am – 2 pm
  • About: Children will hunt for eggs in Children’s Park from 11am-2pm. Then head across the stree for free pizza at American Legion Post 233
  • Cost: Free

Easter Eggstravaganza (March 28)

  • Place:  Ella Mae Power Park
  • Time: Check website
  • About: Hop on over to Ella Mae Power Park and join Novi Parks for the annual Easter Eggstravaganza! There will be crafts, photo stops, and multi age egg hunts! Don’t forget to leave your baskets at home.
  • Cost: $5 per child. Registration ends March 21.
Orion Township

Egg Drop & Easter Fun / EGGstravaganza (April 3)

  • Place: Canterbury Village
  • Time: 12-6 pm
  • About: The shops will have kids Easter activities throughout the afternoon: crafts, lawn games, and photos with the bunny. There will be four egg drop times based on age. See the Facebook Event for more information.
  • Cost: This is a free event but tickets must be reserved ahead of time.
Oxford Township

Easter Bunny Cruise (March 25)

  • Place: Seymour Lake Township Park
  • Time: 6-8 pm
  • About: Families will cruise down the bunny trail while stopping along the route to collect treats and trinkets.
  • $8 for residents, $10 for non
Rochester Hills

Easter Bunny at the Village of Rochester Hills (3/21, 3/26, 3/27, 4/2, 4/3) 

  • Place: Festival Park Gazebo
  • Time: Check website
  • About: Easter Bunny visits will take place in an open-outdoor setting allowing families to keep a 6-foot distance between them and the Easter Bunny. Masks are required but can be removed when taking photos. Families must provide their own cameras as photographers will not be provided.
  • Cost: Free but must make a reservation.

Family Spring Fest (March 20)

  • Place: Troy Family Aquatics Center parking lot
  • Time: 10 am – 3 pm
  • About: Come celebrate the first day of spring with some outdoor family fun! There will be activity booths, crafts, chalk art, light snacks, photos with the Easter Bunny, and more. This event will be located in the Aquatic Center parking lot. For your safety masks are required, sanitizing products will be available, tables will be assigned to each family, and a bunny burrow barrier will be in place during photos for proper distancing
  • Cost: Ages 2–12: $15 Residents, $18 Non-Residents | Ages 13+: $10 Residents, $13 Non-Residents | Kids under 2 are free. Registration required.

Hop into Spring (April 17) 

  • Place: Hess-Hathaway Park, 825 S Williams Lake Road
    Waterford, MI 48327
  • Time: 10 am – 3 pm
  • About: A spring event with an egg hunt, bunny photo opportunity, craft and games.
  • Cost: $5 per child – 2 years & under are free. Preregister for a time slot.

Egg Hunt and Bunny Fun (March 28) 

  • Place: Gilbert Willis Park
  • Time: 1-3 pm
  • About: There will be different stations of activities including an egg hunt and crafts on the go! A special visit from the bunny with safe photo opportunities. NO advance registration. Limited to the first 300 children. Rain or Shine.
  • Cost: $5 per child

Washtenaw County


Easter Egg Hunt (March 27) 

  • Place: Hudson Mills Metropark Activity Center
  • Time: 2-4 pm
  • About: Kids will search for eggs in different themed areas.Bring your camera to capture a photo of the Easter Bunny hard at work preparing for Easter. Bring a basket or bag to collect eggs. Dress for the weather as this will be an all outdoor event.
  • Cost: $6 per child, $6 per adult, children under 2 Free. Preregistration is required by March 26. 

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt (March 27) 

  • Place: Hudson Mills Metropark Activity Center
  • Time: 8-10 pm
  • About: Older kids will love the extra challenge of this special night time egg hunt. Kids will search for eggs in different themed areas. Bring a basket or bag and flashlight to help search for the eggs. This is an entirely outdoor event. A maximum of ten people will be assigned to each starting time at registration. Each household will start their egg hunt at slightly staggered times within their registered start time. See website for more information.
  • Cost: $6 per person. Preregistration is required!

Wayne County


Easter Jamboree (March 27)

  • Place: Heritage Park
  • Time: 12 – 4 pm
  • About: Area residents are encouraged to pre-register for a safe and physically-distanced visit with the Easter Bunny at the Easter Jamboree. Participants will enjoy a quick egg hunt, as well as musical entertainment. Sweet and warm treats will also be available on site for purchase.
  • Cost: Pre-registration is required beginning February 15 at www.cantonfun.org/register. Fees: $5 per child for Canton residents. $6 per child for non-residents. Please Note: Face masks are required to participate.
Garden City 

Easter Egg Hunt (April 3) 

  • Place: Garden City Park 
  • Time: 9:15 am – 12:15
  • About: Over 10,000 eggs will be hidden in three separate age groups; 3 and under, 4-6 and 7-10. 15 ‘magical’ eggs will be hidden in each age group! Find one and turn it in for a prize! The Easter Bunny will arrive at 9:15 am and the Egg Hunt will start at 9:30am. Please bring your own bag/basket to collect all your eggs!
  • Cost: Free 

Easter Egg Hunt (March 20)

  • Place: Ward Church 
  • Time: 10-11:30 am 
  • About: Join WardKids & Ward Preschool for an Easter Egg Hunt in our very own Ward Woods on Saturday, March 20 anytime between 10–11:30 a.m. The hunt will start at parking lot 4 at Ward Church. Upon arrival, gather your collection bags and head out with your family to hunt for Easter eggs. At the end of the hunt, enjoy a selfie photo op with the Easter Bunny. Registration is required. Please submit separate registrations for each child participating, with their name as the attendee. Parents do not need to register themselves. Register early so they can plan enough prizes for your family.

Taylor Bunny Trail (March 27) 

  • Place: Heritage Park
  • Time: 11 am
  • About: Fill up your Easter basket with treats from special spring characters and get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny! Basket, treats, and printed photo with the Easter Bunny are included. 
  • Cost: Residents $5, Non-Taylor Residents $10. Preregistration required

Mommy and Me Easter Cake Class (March 27)

  • Place: Chocolate Drop Shop on Wayne Road.
  • Time: 11 am – 12
  • About: Each paricpant will decorate a Easter Bunny cake.
  • Cost: $25 per participant, with a $10 deposit to hold your spot. See Facebook event page for more information.

    That’s crazy that Easter is less than a month away … this year is going by really fast, can’t decide if that’s a good or a bad thing, yet!

  • Wow! Lots going on! I remember trying to attend everything when the kids were little. Just a couple weeks – hopefully Easter can usher in some warm spring weather for us 🙂
