Easter Events Southeast Michigan 2021

Easter is just around the corner (April 17) and many cities/townships have organized events that are family-friendly and COVID safe. Check out the list below to find an event near you. And of course, be sure to check the websites for any possible changes or cancellations. I will add events as I find them so check back often. 

Oakland County


Easter Bunny Extravaganza (April 9) 

  • Place: Milford High School Parking Lot
  • Time: 10 am-noon
  • About: For more information, call the Chamber office at 248-685-7129. This event is hosted by the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Orion Township

Canterbury EGGstravaganza Weekend (April 9 & 10) 

  • Place: Canterbury Village
  • Time: 11 am-5 pm
  • About: Come out to Canterbury Village for an afternoon of fun and adventure. The shops will have kids’ Easter activities throughout the afternoon which
    include crafts, lawn games, and selfie photos with the bunny. Bring your baskets, find eggs, and then choose which shops to trade them in at for candy and other
    cool prizes! You will find great purchases, presents, and deals at the vendors and shops. And don’t forget to hop down to Yates Cider Mill and check out the petting zoo and tower of hay.
  • Cost: Advance tickets only. No walkups are allowed and no tickets will be
    sold at the door. $7 entry. Children under 2, military, and veterans are FREE. Parking is $5. 
Oxford Township

Flashlight Egg Hunt TEEN Event (April 14) 

  • Place: Powell Lake Township Park 
  • Time: 8:30 pm 
  • About: An egg hunt with a twist– you’ll need your flashlights to hunt in the dark! Don’t forget to check your batteries and basket to collect your eggs. Turn eggs in for prizes and find the special egg to win the grand prize!
  • Cost: $8 for residents, $10 for non-residents. Preregistration required! 

Easter Bunny Bonanza (April 16) 

  • Place: Seymour Lake Township Park, 2795 Seymour Lake Road 
  • Time: 1 pm 
  • About: Welcome the Easter Bunny with an Easter Egg Hunt and Ping-Pong ball drop! The event will begin with an Easter Egg Hunt followed by the Ping-Pong Ball Drop. The bunny chopper will fly over and shower the kids with thousands of white
    Ping-Pong Balls. Each child will receive a special gift! Don’t miss out, buy your tickets early– the event is always a sellout! 
  • Cost: $8 for residents, $10 for non-residents. Advanced tickets are required! 


Riverview Recreation Hippity Hoppity Easter Stroll (April 9) 

  • Location: Young Patriot Park 
  • Time: 11 am-noon
  • About: Take the family on a Spring themed walk around Reflection Pond at Young Patriots Park. Each CHILD will receive Spring treats. Meet at the gazebo to check in to enter the walk.
  • Cost: Free 

Egg Hunt and Bunny Fun (April 10) 

  • Place: Gilbert Willis Park
  • Time: 1-3 pm
  • About: There will be different stations of activities including an egg hunt and crafts on the go! A special visit from the bunny with safe photo opportunities. NO advance registration. Limited to the first 300 children. Rain or Shine.
  • Cost: $5 per child

Washtenaw County


Easter Egg Hunt (April 9)

  • Place: Hudson Mills Metropark Activity Center
  • Time: 3-5:30 pm- SIGN UP FOR A TIME SLOT 
  • About: Bring the kids out to hunt for Easter eggs on our festive, Egg-cellent trail! Kids will search for eggs in different themed areas. Don’t forget your camera to capture a photo of the Easter Bunny hard at work preparing for Easter. Bring a basket or bag to collect your eggs. Children 10 and under. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
  • Cost: $6 per child, $6 per adult, children under 2 Free. Preregistration is required by April 5.  

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt (April 9)  

  • Place: Hudson Mills Metropark Activity Center
  • Time: 7:30-9:30 pm – SIGN UP FOR A TIME SLOT
  • About: For kids 8-12. Older kids will love the extra challenge of this special nighttime egg hunt. Kids will search for eggs in different themed areas. Bring a basket or bag and flashlight to help search for the eggs. 
  • Cost: $6 per person. Preregistration is required by April 5. 

Wayne County


Bunny Hop (April 7) 

  • Place: Summit on the Park 
  • Time: 6-8 pm 
  • About: Enjoy a night of music and dancing with the Easter Bunny themselves! This family dance will take place at the Summit on the Park Banquet Center from 6-8 pm. Don’t “hop” in too late, the Bunny will be available for pictures for the first hour of the event, the last hour they will be shaking their cottontail on the dance floor with you! (All family members will need a ticket to attend regardless of age)
  • Cost: Pre-Registration is required and will open on Mar 15 Fee: $8R/$10NR per person 

Easter Bunny Breakfast (April 9) 

  • Place: Summit on the Park 
  • Time: 9-11 am 
  • About: Enjoy strolling entertainment and a visit and picture with your favorite furry egg-toting friend. Breakfast will be served from 9-10 am with your favorite breakfast items. Visit cantonfun.org for the full menu. 
  • Cost:  Ages 16 and up $20.75R/$26.75NR, Ages 5-15 $16.75R/$21.75NR,  Ages 5 and below $5.75R/6.75NR. Preregistration required – will sell out quickly! 

Easter Jamboree (April 9) 

  • Place: Heritage Park
  • Time: 11 am-2 pm 
  • About: Come have a visit with the Easter Bunny at Heritage Park Amphitheatre Stage and enjoy an egg hunt, activities, and musical entertainment. Sweet and warm treats will be available on-site for purchase.
  • Cost: Pre-registration is required and opens March 15 Fee: $5R/$6NR per child Ages: All Ages www.cantonfun.org/register. Fees: $5 per child for Canton residents. $6 per child for non-residents. Please Note: Face masks are required to participate.

Dearborn Heights 

Easter Marshmallow Helicopter Drop (April 9) 

  • Location: 1801 N Beech Daly Rd, Dearborn Heights
  • Time: 12 pm-3 pm
  • About: Come one, come all!!! They promise everyone will have an amazing time at their marshmallow drop! I mean…who doesn’t love stilt walkers, face painting, variety shows, the Easter bunny, and a HELICOPTER dropping marshmallows?!
  • Cost: Free 


Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Bunny, and Petting Zoo! (April 10) 

  • Location: George’s Livonia Gardens, 31405 W. Seven Mile Road, Livonia
  • Time: 1 pm-3 pm 
  • About: George’s Livonia Gardens will host an Easter Egg hunt! Plus see the Easter Bunny and visit our petting zoo! Easter Egg hunt starts promptly at 1:30 pm:
    -For children ages 2-12. There will be a separate area for children ages 2-5 to hunt for the eggs at their pace.
    -Eggs are stuffed with wrapped candy only*
    Petting Zoo from 1 pm-3 pm
    Easter Bunny will be here for personal photos from 1 pm-3 pm
    Parents and children under 2 years old are free of admission. Children ages 2 and up must have a ticket to participate in all activities. 
  • Cost: $10 (under 2 free)

Egg Hunt (April 16)

  • Location: Rotary Park, 6 Mile 
  • Time: 11:30 am -12:45 pm 
  • About: Have your little one hunting the outfield for eggs at our Egg Hunt 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Rotary Park. Groups will be split up by age into 15-minute time blocks:
    Ages 1-4 at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
    Ages 5-7 at noon
    Ages 8-10 at 12:30 p.m.
    Participants are required to bring their own basket or bag. The Easter Bunny will be on-site for photo opportunities under Pavilion 5. The event is co-sponsored by Livonia Parks and Recreation and the Livonia Rotary Club. Registration began on March 16. 
  • Cost: Free 

New Boston 

Easter Egg Scramble (April 9) 

  • Location: Willow Metropark, 23200 S Huron Rd, New Boston, MI 
  • Time: 10 am-3 pm 
  • About: Enjoy crafts, games, candy maybe even get a visit from the Easter Pig! It is important to arrive on time to the program; children are separated into age brackets to search for eggs and will begin at different times.
  • Cost: $5 per child (Ages 2-14) 


Eggstravaganza – Celebrate Spring! (April 9) 

  • Place: Maybury Farm
  • Time: 10 am – 1 pm 
  • About: Join us as we celebrate spring with our annual festival! Enjoy egg hunts, StoryTime, face painting, seed planting, fun costumed characters, food trucks, and our new farm animals!
  • Cost: $10 per car (cash only) paid at the entrance to Maybury Farm


Easter Palooza (April 9) 

  • Place: Northridge Church, 49555 N. Territorial, Plymouth
  • Time: 10 am-noon
  • About:  There will be an Egg Hunt, Inflatables, Games, Crafts and much more!!!
  • Cost: Free 


Taylor Bunny Trail (March 27) 

  • Place: Heritage Park
  • Time: 11 am
  • About: Fill up your Easter basket with treats from special spring characters and get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny! Easter Basket, treats, and photo op with the Easter Bunny included. 
  • Cost: Residents $5, Non-Taylor Residents $10. Preregistration is required at https://www.universe.com/events/taylor-bunny-trail-tickets-4WMNJH


Marshmallow Drop (April 15) 

  • Place: Attwood Park, Wayne 
  • Time: 10-10:30 am 
  • About: HYPE will be dropping 10,000 marshmallows out of the sky. Once you get a marshmallow, you turn it in for a goodie bag. Time slots: 10 am Toddlers-4, 10:15 am 5-7 years old, 10:30 am 8-10 years old. 
  • Cost: Free 


Easter Bunny Meet-n-Greet (April 9) 

  • Place: Wayne Ford Civic League, 1645 N. Wayne Rd, Westland 
  • Time: 9 am-11 am 
  • About: Come take pictures with the Bunny and get an Easter treat.
    There will be coloring sheets and temporary tattoos available after you see the bunny.
  • Cost: Free

    That’s crazy that Easter is less than a month away … this year is going by really fast, can’t decide if that’s a good or a bad thing, yet!

  • Wow! Lots going on! I remember trying to attend everything when the kids were little. Just a couple weeks – hopefully Easter can usher in some warm spring weather for us 🙂
