Praying Through Loneliness Book Review
Loneliness strikes us all at some point in our lives. It could be due to the loss of a loved one, a move to a different city or state, a broken friendship, or even divorce. For me, loneliness hit rock bottom in September 2024 when my husband of 24 years filed for a divorce. It is a season of loneliness I never expected to go through, and it’s been the most difficult time of my life.
So, when I was asked to review this book, Praying Through Loneliness, I knew I had to jump on the opportunity. As a 90-day devotional, I have just started reading the first portion of the book, and I’ve already found comfort from the bible verses and words of the various writers (50 of which are included). This beautiful biblical resource, compiled by Kristen Strong, consists of three sections: Feed your Heart, Feed your Faith, and Feed your Friendships. Through stories, bible verses, and prayers, those who read the book will learn how to alleviate loneliness and help others do the same. As Kristen says, loneliness may be a reality, but it is not a destiny!
If you are facing a season of loneliness, consider purchasing, Praying Through Loneliness. To learn more about the devotional, please visit Kristen Strong’s Website.
