The Anxiety Reset
A Life-Changing Approach to Overcoming Fear, Stress, Worry, Panic Attacks, OCD and More by Gregory L. Jantz Ph.D. and Keith Wall
About the Book:
The Anxiety Reset is a new release book written by experienced mental health expert Dr. Gregory L. Jantz. With more than 30 years experience in the field of mental health, Dr. Jantz composed this comprehensive and valuable tool for those who suffer with anxiety. Wellness comes as a result of the mind, body, and spirit working together. Therefore, this book describes strategies for managing anxiety by focusing on the whole person.
The first part of the book dives deeply into the many causes of anxiety, types of anxiety, and its effect on daily living. The later part discusses various ways to manage anxiety to live a full peace filled life. With scientific research, real-life stories, and personalized plans, the Anxiety Reset encourages the understanding and management of anxiety.
To benefit most from this book, there are a couple things I highly recommend. Before you begin reading, I recommend completing the self-assesement tools in the back of the book (pages 213-215). These assessments examine your anxiety and the severity of it based on a scale from mild to severe. As you read the book, I urge you to complete the personal reset plans at the end of each chapter. These will help you dig deeper into your anxiety and offer ideas for managing it.
As a sufferer of anxiety, I am glad I was given this book to read and review. Although I learned a lot about my own anxiety, where it stems from, and ways to manage it, there was one discussion I found most interesting to my case. Gut health and mental health correlate to one another – they go hand in hand. As a suffer of IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrome), this means when my gut health is thrown off balance so is my mental health. As a result, I’ve started to research and implement some new options to manage my gut along with my anxiety.
